When a virtual visit may help

Salome considers the patient’s history, visible findings and telehealth limitations before deciding how to proceed.

What to prepare

Bring a short sleep diary and information about caffeine, alcohol, snoring and current medicines. Bring information about allergies, other conditions and your preferred local pharmacy.

When not to wait for video care

Breathing pauses, dangerous daytime sleepiness or severe mental-health symptoms may require specialist or urgent assessment. If this is an emergency, call 911.

Next steps after the consultation

After clinical evaluation, the plan may include self-care counseling, follow-up, a referral, a local examination or testing. Any treatment or prescription depends on clinical judgment and applicable law.

Safety: Video care is not emergency care. For life-threatening symptoms call 911. Telehealth is used only when clinically appropriate.

Ready to discuss your concern?

Video visits are available daily, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Central (Iowa) time. Booking takes about two minutes, and no payment is taken when you book.
