Establishing care

A new-patient consultation reviews your medical and family history, ongoing conditions, medications, preventive-care priorities, and previous health records. Together, you and your clinician create a follow-up plan.

Video visits do not replace every preventive examination. Salome will recommend local in-person evaluation when appropriate.

Conditions commonly discussed

Follow-up topics may include blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, thyroid disorders, allergies, mild anxiety or depression, sleep concerns and common digestive symptoms. Each condition has its own monitoring and safety requirements.

Labs and referrals

When a test is necessary, the clinician can discuss whether a local laboratory or another clinician should be involved. The availability of specific laboratory ordering pathways must be confirmed before a promise is made.

Safety: Video care is not emergency care. For life-threatening symptoms call 911. Telehealth is used only when clinically appropriate.

Questions Iowa patients ask before booking

Can I establish primary care by video in Iowa?

A new-patient relationship may begin through an appropriate video visit. Some evaluations and preventive screenings still require local in-person care.

Can Salome help with ongoing conditions?

She can evaluate common chronic-care concerns, review available measurements and labs, and recommend follow-up or local testing when necessary.

Is Salome located in Iowa?
