Salome considers the patient’s history, visible findings and telehealth limitations before deciding how to proceed.
What to prepare
Have a current medication list, prior therapies and recent changes in sleep or mood available. Bring information about allergies, other conditions and your preferred local pharmacy.
When not to wait for video care
For immediate danger or suicidal crisis, call 911 or 988 in the United States. This is not a crisis service. If this is an emergency, call 911.
Next steps after the consultation
After clinical evaluation, the plan may include self-care counseling, follow-up, a referral, a local examination or testing. Any treatment or prescription depends on clinical judgment and applicable law.
Questions Iowa patients ask before booking
Straight answers to common concerns. A video visit may help determine the right next step, but it cannot replace every examination or test.
Can I discuss anxiety or depression by video in Iowa?
Yes, non-emergency mental-health concerns can often be assessed through a video consultation. Salome may recommend counseling, follow-up or additional care.
Can video visits replace therapy or emergency mental-health care?
Not always. Video primary care may complement therapy but is not a substitute for urgent crisis care. Call 988 for a mental-health crisis or 911 for immediate danger.
Can I request controlled medication for anxiety?
This service does not prescribe controlled substances. Salome can discuss appropriate non-controlled care options and referrals when indicated.
Ready to discuss your concern?
Video visits are available daily, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Central (Iowa) time. Booking takes about two minutes, and no payment is taken when you book.
